Subsurface Geotechnical are a firm of independent geophysical consultants based in the historic heart of Worcester. Established in 1985, we were one of the first geophysical UK firms to utilise ground radar investigations commercially.

The company specialises in providing geophysical surveys for practical applications in site investigation, geo-environmental applications and non-destructive testing. Principal methods include ground penetrating radar (GPR), resistivity imaging and soil resistivity testing, electromagnetic and magnetic surveys. Our geophysical surveys are always carried out by highly qualified geophysicists, not technicians. This allows problems to be solved on-site, by customising data acquisition to the highest levels of technical excellence.

Areas of activity cover both greenfield and brownfield sites, ranging from large scale projects such as power stations, oil refineries and infrastructure; through major construction developments, housing and school construction, petrol stations, slope stability and landfill sites. Detailed investigations are also carried out on reinforced concrete and masonry engineering structures.
